Hello April

Well march has said goodbye & we welcome in the new month of April. I'm glad march is over, it was hectic & I'm utterly exhausted, but I learnt a lot from it. Most of all I learnt that I'm not as well as I think I am & that I have to slow down even further. Sitting here just writing this has my heart racing, I'm really hot & very nauseous & I've only been up for 2 hours! So I had better keep this one short and sweet.
I'm happy the clocks have gone forward & we have so much more daylight, although this keeps me going longer & I forget what time it is. So I will have to plan in more rests each day to compensate for this. So I'm going to take it easy this month, still endeavouring to make as much as I can from the supplies I already have - no more buying , just making and selling (I hope!)
Got my niece coming for an overnight visit today, we will be cheering on her boyfriend in a rugby match in Tyldesly tomorrow, it's a semi final match so they need a good crowd behind them at the away venue. Then it's half term so I have the company of my son for 2 whole weeks! Yay. x

I thought I'd say hi since I've been missing for over a week! Had a bad tummy bug which floored me & have spent the whole pf last week resting. Managed to make it to jewellery class & get together with my girls Hazel & Olive on friday. There's nothing like getting together with the girls for some creative time! Thanks for having us Haze. xxx

TV

What a fun but exhausting weekend. On Saturday I travelled to Redditch to meet a friend & join in on a TV jewellery show, where we get to make up jewellery live on air.
What a fun day we had on Sunday. The owner of the company was presenting & we got to meet another designer too. The best bit being we get to keep what we made. We were using black onyx & haematite & had organza ribbon, craft wire and elastic to use too.
Then we had a spot of lunch in Redditch before we parted company & made out separate journeys home. As soon as my friend posts the pics of the day I will add them to my blog - I didn't have my hubby with me this time to take pics for me so I will have to spam Shelley's when she gets them on the web.
Bit knackered so I won't stay long.

Hats!

Hello!
What a busy couple of days. Yesterday was jewellery making class with Olive. We made a bracelet & floating necklace in a totally different way than I normally make them. Still it was a fun couple of hours.

Today I spent the day at home making my Jewellery for sunday when I'll be on Jewellerymaker.com for their Sunday Sofa slot with Shelley Brewer of Shez Jewellery! Very exciting. We have been friends for ages via FB but we will be meeting for the first time tomorrow where we'll be sharing a room at the Holiday Inn in Redditch, so we will sink a couple of glasses of vino tomorrow evening & chill before the show Sunday morning. So I have a memory wire bracelet, earrings, a necklace & even a tiara! Shelley has forgotten hers so I mustn't forget to take one for her.

Today I got a tiny delivery of 2 jewellery kits & necklace sized memory wire & quickly made up a single coil memory wire necklace too. Then it was out this evening at my hat making workshop with Olive @ Dimples Workshops with the lovely Dawn. What a great night we have had, learned loads & let our creative sides run wild! Can't wait for next week when we will see our creations really taking shape. Tonight we have done a lot of the groundwork but it was still great fun.

Just having a cheeky vino before bed cos I have a busy day tomorrow packing & travelling to Redditch.

Shoes

I have been to class today - web design basics class, stayed for brunch with the usual suspects! Then went to the shops, I was after a big snuggly cardi & came away with a killer pair of shoes (with matching cushioned insoles)! I don't know who I'm trying to kid, I don't think I will get away with them but I'm gonna give it my best shot! I think I'll put them on  tomorrow for my jewellery class & have a practice before they get their TV debut on sunday!
Talking of making jewellery, I won a prize today! Woohoo - £100.00 in the account for jewellery making supplies! Get in!  Thank you Angels for looking out for me again! I am totally gobsmacked at this - normally I never win anything but my luck must be changing as I won this a few months ago & now I've won it again! I know a few people will be green with envy but you makes your jewellery, you sends it in & you takes your chance, same as everyone else. It is a lottery, not judged on skill or creative talent! I think this time I will spend it very wisely. Last time I put loads of stuff in my basket & didn't really take account of what I was doing! This is just another sign to me that I am on the right path, as I said the other day, I'm finally shaping my own destiny & this proves to me I'm doing it right!

Busy Week

Well, I'm up against it this week. On the back of a busy time last week, I have 3 classes this week - web design, jewellery & a brand new milnery course, then an overnight trip at the weekend when I will be meeting my very good (& up to now online only) friend Shelley & together we shall be on TV on Sunday making lots of yummy jewellery that we get to keep! So I barely have time to sniff this week, so much to make & do!
Yesterday I made loads of yoyos, I ordered more gemstones today, I need to get cracking with making up some felt bags this week & I have items made up that I need to get onto my webshop too.
Busy, busy, gotta fly.

Mad March

Anyone reading this who knows me will know that I have  a couple of health issues, hence my current out of work state! Well March is my busiest month to date I think. I am brushing up my skills with web design, jewellery making & hat making courses. Plus getting together with friends new & old at various locations & shopping for new ideas online & out and about means I am extra exhausted at the mo. But I wouldn't have it any other way! I am using this month to gather as much knowledge as I can & make & do as much as I can too. Plus myself and my close friend are trying to formulate a business plan to utilise our many, many talents so watch this space! I apologise in advance if my extra tired state means I have overlooked anything important, please feel free to give me a nudge here or on my FB or by text/email. I am scatty at the best of times but just now I don't know what day it is! Hopefully I'll get some sleep in April but then again, I'm not holding my breath! lol x

Hello to Blogger.com!

Well I have finally, with the help of my wonderful friends Olive & Lee, created a blog. I have always steered away from online social network sites & blogs etc but I have realised that rather than stealing what little life I have away from me, they actually open up so many new doors for me to explore. So I hope that as a newby you will all look after me on here! Big thanks to Olive & Lee, since I have met you both my life has opened up so much, you have taken me under your wing & I am eternally grateful to you both. I can see very exciting times ahead for us all & it fills me with joy. I finally have something to look forward to for me. Losing my job last year has actually turned out to be the best thing that ever happened, so although it was incredibly stressful with the prospect of a legal battle ahead (well you can't dismiss someone illegally & expect to get away with it, can you?) I can now heave a big sigh of releif & say Thank you British Airways, you were the worst employer I have ever had but I finally have my life back!!! So I'm going to hold on tight & steer myself in the right direction for ma, with a little help from my family & friends, I must never forget, life is a journey, not a destination! Looking forward to meeting new people & learning lots every day. Love and light to you all & happy blogging!
